DE170 · 170cc Air-Cooled Twin-Cylinder 2-Stroke Engine
The DE170 is an air-cooled 170 cc twin-cylinder two-stroke gasoline engine positioned as a workhorse for larger industrial UAVs. Delivering around 18 hp while keeping installed weight low, it is ideal for 25–80 kg MTOW platforms.
With its opposed-cylinder architecture, DE170 achieves smooth operation, reduced vibration and stable power delivery, helping airframes fly more accurately.

Designed for industrial UAV applications where reliability, endurance and predictable fuel consumption are more important than extreme peak power.
- Higher displacement twin for more thrust and stronger climb.
- Designed for continuous cruise power in industrial duty.
- Opposed twin cylinders for low vibration.
- Compatible with tractor and pusher installations.
Typical UAV applications
DE170 is chosen when UAV manufacturers need more power headroom, including:
- Medium-to-large fixed-wing mapping and ISR aircraft
- Hybrid VTOL drones with heavier payloads
- Logistics and cargo drones on long routes
- Maritime patrol and border surveillance UAVs
